There seems lately that there is an growing trend of teaching professionals that are apparently not as happy with their salary as they could be. Maybe you are a teacher that is in this category? With the cost of living increasing at such a rapid pace, it may be time to look at the cash they bring in.
It's true that teaching is not the most exciting career choice but it can certainly be one of the most rewarding ones. It seems like a shame that sometimes you see some teachers looking to take second jobs to make more cash for themselves to be a lot more comfortable and provide more for their family.
Sometimes teachers are even finding that starting and operating their own business on the side to increase their income is working for them.
It's definitely great that teachers can do things like this, especially during the summer time when they are not teaching, but with a career as important as it is they shouldn't have to do this.
The other problem with taking a second job, besides losing time from your family, is the increase in tax that you have to shell out. Starting a business can help in this because of the things that can be a write off at tax season, but it can be another burden in time.
Now, all this extra time spent working is not always bad. Sometimes, if a teacher begins a new business and it is very successful they can find themself working toward doing that full time instead and possibly have the choice to return to teaching or devote all their time on their business income.
Whatever a teacher decides to do, it is still a great idea to maybe take a look at their salary and see what can be done to help. Teaching is an important career and should be looked at more as such.
